Law Boost - We Prepare you for Law School

Law School Blogging Scholarship

LawBoost wants to establish a central location where law school applicants can gain an accurate perspective on the law school experience.  We want to offer information about all types of schools, from the most competitive schools, to historically Black schools, to religiously affiliated schools – we want it all!  For this reason, LawBoost is seeking to partner with one entering law student from up to fifteen different law schools to blog about their experiences during the fall 2008 semester.

In return for blogging, these students are eligible for the LawBoost Blogging Scholarship, an opportunity to receive one of LawBoost’s 5-day law school preparatory courses for free.

Scholarship eligible students will be required to provide weekly written pieces of at least 250 words detailing their first semester experiences from Monday, September 8, 2008 through Monday, November 24, 2008.  To satisfy the conditions of the scholarship, scholarship students must submit a written piece in at least 10 of the 12 weeks

If you are interested in this scholarship, please send a cover letter (explaining your interest and past writing experience) and resume to michael.santana@lawboost.com.

Those selected for this scholarship will be required to:

  1. Register, pay for, and fully complete a LawBoost 5-day law school preparatory course (Jump Start Program or Self-Prep Program) during the summer of 2008.
  2. Submit written pieces of at least 250 words detailing their first semester law school experience in 10 out of 12 weeks from September 8, 2008 through November 24, 2008.

Scholarship students who satisfy the scholarship’s writing requirement by submitting ten weekly writing pieces will receive a full refund (minus PayPal fees) of their course fees.

Scholarship students who do not submit ten weekly writing pieces will receive a pro-rated refund based on how many written pieces they submit.  For instance, if a scholarship student submits seven written pieces from September 8 through November 24, 2008, then the student would receive a 70% refund (minus PayPal fees) of their course fees.  If a scholarship student submits three written pieces from September 8 through November 24, 2008, then that student would receive a 30% refund (minus PayPal fees) of their course fees.
